Pupils at Lift New Forest recently had the exciting opportunity tovisit Southampton Solent Theatre to watch Bringing the OutsideIn by Theatre For Life. The production offered a powerful andthought-provoking experience that left students feeling inspiredand engaged.
Theatre For Life is an organisation that works closely with youthleaders, marginalised communities, the NHS, mental healthcharities and the wider community sector to create impactfultheatre. Their work shines a light on social and healthinequalities, exploring issues such as disability, mental healthand financial barriers through bold, vibrant and authenticstorytelling rooted in verbatim theatre.
At the heart of their mission is a commitment to youth-led action,intersectionality and open dialogue, encouraging audiences toreflect and inspiring meaningful change. By inviting decision-makers and leaders to performances, Theatre For Life ensurestheir work leaves a lasting legacy and a clear call to action forfuture generations.
Our pupils thoroughly enjoyed the performance and wereimpressed by the creativity and skill on display. One pupilcommented, “I can’t believe they did a whole show with just fouractors.”
It was a fantastic experience that all pupils loved and one thatwill stay with them well beyond the theatre trip.
