Dancing Through Broadway
March 27, 2026

We’ve had a fantastic show week at Lift New Forest, celebrating the incredible talent and dedication of our pupils in this year’s production, Dancing Through Broadway.

Both evenings were a great success, with well over 200 tickets sold over the 2 nights. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the performances were full of energy, confidence, and creativity.

On Wednesday, pupils also took part in a competition, and we are delighted to announce the following champions:

Solo Category

🥇 1st – Freya Saunders

🥈 2nd – Izzy Dale

🥉 3rd – Millie Conway

Group Category

🥇 1st – Six (Ava Dryden, Chloe Reynolds, Eleanor Mudge, Elsa Hawxwell, Freya Saunders & Ivy Nelson)

🥈 2nd – Moulin Rouge (Ava Dryden & Elsa Hawxwell)

🥉 3rd – Greatest Showman (@Eleanor Mudge, Ivy Nelson & Freya Saunders)

The pupils have been amazing throughout the entire process. We have loved watching their dances develop since September, with their confidence and stage presence growing so much. Their behaviour has been excellent, and they are an absolute pleasure to work with.

We also loved welcoming Year 5 from Cadland School on Thursday for a matinee performance. The pupils really enjoyed performing to the younger generation, and we hope they’ve inspired them to take part in the dance show when they join Lift New Forest in the future.

A big thank you to Miss Pithers for her fantastic choreography, and to Miss Duglan and Mrs Warren for their support with Dance Club. We are also incredibly grateful to Chris Lund and Oli McKell from Unique Events for providing a brilliant stage and lighting setup.

Thank you to all the family members and friends who came to support us—it meant so much to the pupils. We would also like to thank Sophie Pinckney and Blackfield School for their wonderful performance to I Just Can’t Wait To Be King.

We are already looking forward to next year’s show and seeing the pupils continue to grow and shine on stage.
