On Monday 27th April, a group of 16 Year 7 and 8 students travelled to LEGOLAND Windsor Resort with Mr Dye and Mrs Watkins-Ball for an Axiom Maths Circles reward visit.
This eagerly anticipated trip coincided with some sunny weather and proved to be the perfect day for a visit to Windsor.
The day began with a Roller Coaster Workshop, where Year 7 and 8 students used their excellent knowledge of forces to explore what makes a roller coaster work. They then designed and built their own roller coasters, testing the different forces involved.
After the workshop, students explored the park. Highlights of the day included visiting Mini land, featuring millions of LEGO bricks transformed into famous global landmarks, as well as enjoying some of the park’s thrilling rides — including The Dragon coaster, the interactive NINJAGO ride, and the classic Pirate Falls log flume, which helped cool everyone down at the end of the day.
